octoberfest

i got stereo crowd sounds at octoberfest, and within 10 minutes i ran into Anna who is running Boston Underground Film Festival.

i got the last plates for the car windows, and also the last establishment shot. i thought i might get in trouble for shooting the federal building, but it was when i was sitting in my van afterward that i had an incident-- i put a zoom-recorder in the meridian, making a fellow walking by stop cold and stare at it, trying to decide if it was an evil device and so should dial 911. i opened the door and told him 'it's a sound recorder, i'm getting traffic noises for a movie.' hey, some of us are constructive, not destructive, with our little metal boxes and tiny red lights.

elvis plates

we shot more elvis plates today; gaylen was the driver. a fellow followed us into a parking area and threatend us with withholding his signature from an imaginary release form. we just kept chuckling which made him angrier. he looked a lot like jerzy kosinski. hey dude, we pulled over to get you out of the shot; i want no cars in the shot. it was pretty funny. i think i may have all of the plates shot now. elvis is (at this time, and after 7 years) coming together very quickly. there's only a few more shots left to get.
